During your trip to Shell Key, you can relish discovering beautiful, one-of-a-kind seashells. Guests may find shells as large as their heads! This island is also known for the various scientific research and nature studying activities that take place on it. Namely, the shorebird studies that led to the knowledge of this island holding the densest shorebird nesting population in America. So we will be sure to make a stop at the Shorebird Sanctuary!

Fort De Soto Tour

This all-in-one island stop has something for everyone! For those looking for quality family time at the beach, this island holds 3 miles of beaches with pearly white sand and pristine waters. For those looking to delve into nature, Fort De Soto is home to the Loggerhead Sea Turtles. If you visit the island from April to May, keep an eye out for signs indicating buried turtle eggs! For our history buffs, Fort De Soto was a military base during the Spanish-American War. Although it is no longer an active base, Fort Dade is still open to tours and a terrific stop for those interested in historical landmarks.
